Autumn selection in an earthy palette with flecks of pale muddy rose and some blue. I can’t seem to get away from these dusty, chalky hues mixed with variations of gray similar to a recent color coded post. It’s common to wear black, white and grey during winter so it makes these unexpected sweet tones super interesting. It’s so fresh and it kind of makes me happy when wearing it. While they may have once been strictly associated with spring’s blooming flowers, they are one of this winter’s biggest statement makers. Talk chalk!

Getting lost in a sea of delicate florals, pastel prints and icy cold crystals.
Pastels do have a place in our cold weather wardrobe rotation. Chalky hues may not be a conventional choice in autumn, but they are a welcome pop amongst the ubiquitous all-black ensembles.

Goal: live happy. explore daily. work differently. …and build the color palette while seeking sun and being inspired by the outdoors with no interruptions.
three designers
Three days of immersing ourselves in outdoor activities while surrounded by color and design inspiration is an incredible and productive way to work. On our trip to Palm Springs we hiked Joshua Tree, Palm Canyon, went on an amazing Architecture Tour and worked the color palette for Spring 2015! Then cheers’d to the end of a rewarding assignment.
Thankful for the awesome experience and to be surrounded by inspiring talent everyday.

Color coded | Three Color Dressing
Try wearing no more than three colors per outfit; excluding tonals of any one of those three colors. This is an easy way to make your look more interesting.
Things to note:
// Black and white are technically shades
You can be more flexible about integrating these into your outfits. For example, you can wear four colors if one of them is white.
// Metal jewelry
Stick to one shade for each outfit, either gold or silver, particularly for chunky jewelry like statement necklaces and watches. I sometimes break this rule because I like mixed metal but I think sticking with one shade helps with simplicity.
//Red lips count!
You don’t have to dress like this all the time but this can be a helpful tip when putting a look together.
Here are some examples of dressing in colors of three:
